A Popular Snoring Cure
One of the most popular snoring remedies is the nasal snoring strip.
These little items have a number of advantages over other snoring cures on the market:
- They can be bought without prescription
- No drugs are involved
- They are non-intrusive
and perhaps most important of all:
- They're cheap!

What Are Nasal Snoring Strips?
Nasal snoring strips are one of those inventions that are so simple they're
brilliant! Basically a nasal strip is a piece of flexible plastic embedded
in a sticking plaster. The strip is attached across the outside of the nose
where the plastic automatically tries to straighten itself out.
The result is a gentle, continuous pressure pulling the nostrils open.
This effectively widens the nasal pasage and allows for improved airflow. For
many people this can be enough to improve the breathing and make a significant difference
to their snoring problem.
Most brands of nasal strips are available in different sizes. It's important
to buy the right size - the strip should over the nose only. If it extends to
the cheek then the pressure of the plastic will be severely redcuded.
Do Nasal Strips Work?
There is no guaranteed snoring cure that works for everybody.
However nasal strips do work for many people, especially if your snoring is
mainly due to nasal congestion or other difficulties in getting enough airflow.
Essentially they aim to help you breathe better during the night.
But they don't work for everyone. In particular they are not a cure
for serious conditions such as sleep apnea. If
your snoring is serious or you have other reasons to suspect sleep apnea, consult your doctor.
That said, if your snoring is not too serious then your might well find that
nasal strips help to cure or at least reduce it. They're sufficiently cheap and
easy to use that it has to be worth a try!
