Brez by AirWare
Brez is a disposable nasal breathing aid made by AirWare. According to the company it is a premium product "clinicaly proven to significantly reduce snoring". As such it's a simple piece of equipment that may help some people to snore less.
What Is Brez?
The Brez system consists of a nasal implant made from soft and pliable medical grade materials. Each single use implant consists of two specially designed connected rings. These rings keep the nostrils open during the night and this:"provides support to the interior walls of the nasal passages and reduces the vibrations during breathing that cause snoring"
A clinical trial of Brez was conducted for the company in 2008. This concluded:
"the results of this study suggest a clinically significant therapeutic effect of the unique internal nasal dilator device (Brez by AirWare) for the reduction of snoring events. In addition, these results suggest significant improvement of bed partner sleep quality."
You can buy Brez online or in stores. It comes in packs of 14 single use inserts and is available in three sizes. To be effective you'll need to make sure that you buy the right size for you; you may need to try different ones for the right fit.
As always, you should consult your doctor concerning any medical issues. In particular note that, according to the makers, Brez is not designed to treat sleep apnea, a common cause of snoring. Sleep apnea is a serious condition that should be discussed with your doctor.
