Goldstaff BriteBox
The BriteBox is produced by the Nottingham based British company Goldstaff Limited.
The Managing Director of Goldstaff, Mark Golding, is himself a sufferer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder, otherwise known as the
"Winter Blues").
For some people such as Mark, use of light therapy during the long winter months can help
to overcome the symptoms of SAD. According to Goldstaff:
"Over 30% of the UK population are needlessly suffering with seasonal effects
due to the lack of winter daylight"
The BriteBox is a portable light therapy unit. It measures 20" x 11.5" x 4.75" when closed
and is 20" across when opened. It weighs 4kg and delivers 10,000 lux light output at 6,400
day-light quality. The folding design means it effectively has two screens which allows
for greater light output area and light direction control.
