Sealy

Sealy is an international mattress firm based in the US. It's one of the world's best known manufacturers of mattresses and describes its mission as: "to help the world sleep better". The company began life in 1881 and today owns and operates 25 plants in the US - including one dedicated to producing the company's own latex. The company's brands today include Posturepedic, Embody and Stearns & Foster.

Sealy products are sold in the US through more than 7,000 retail outlets and the company has the largest market share and highest consumer awareness rating of any US bedding manufacturer.

Products

Sealy currently makes and sells three types of mattress: traditional innerspring, memory foam and latex. All of these are available to buy under the basic Sealy branding, described as "No bells or whistles. Just good sleep".

Memory foam and latex mattresses are also available under the Embody branding. Posturepedic and the luxury Stearns & Foster brand use traditional innerspring techniques with Stearns & Foster available to buy with the option of Intellicoil individually wrapped coil-in-a-coil springs.
