Progress Lighting
Progress Lighting was founded in Philadelphia in 1906 and was initially known as the Victoria Lamp Company. Since then progress has expanded and diversified and today describes itself as being "the largest manufacturer of residential and light commercial lighting". The company primarily serves the US and Canada. Progress today offers over 5000 lighting products and has forged strategic partnerships with other companies such as Thomasville and Delta. Company headquarters are in Greenville, S.C. with four US distribution centres and a large network of distributors and showrooms.
Progress has recently embraced the green revolution with its range of eco-friendly, environmentally aware lighting products. These are available to buy under the Energy Star (Estar) banner. The range covers both modern styles and traditional looking lighting fixtures.
An interesting innovation from Progress is their Virtual Lighting website. Customers can either upload pictures of their own home or use the rooms provided to experiment and see how they would look with the addition of various Progress fixtures.
