Nautica Bedding

Nautica is a popular American design brand with its headquarters in New York. Although probably best known for its ranges of clothing for men and women, the company also produces a selection of home products including bedding and bed linens.

Nautica was founded an 1983 and takes its inspiration from all things related to the sea. The name comes from the Latin word Nauticus, meaning ship, and many of the company's products are more or less directly associated with this theme. Watery blues and sandy browns occur frequently in their designs.

The Home range is subtitled "Home by the Sea" and many products in the collection have suitable titles, either generic names such as Lakeview, Seaport and Waterside or more specific names such as Henley and Biarritz. (Presumably the Campbell range is named after Donald Campbell who won water speed records in the famous Bluebird vehicles.)

Today Nautica is part of the VF Corporation. It describes itself as a "lifestyle brand" and the range as "a complete home collection".

You can buy Nautica products in over 170 branded stores covering 64 different countries - and, of course, online. Unfortunately at the time of writing you can't buy household and bedding products from the company's own ecommerce site.
