Ethan Allen has 11 manufacturing facilities, including 2 sawmills. Worldwide they have a network of 313 retail stores of which 132 are directly owned. They employ more than 3000 design consultants.
History
Ethan Allen started life in 1932 as Baumritter & Co, a housewares distributor. They moved into the production of wooden furniture a few years later and by 1943 owned 11 plants and 3 sawmills. 1954 saw the production of the one millionth Ethan Allen piece - a maple chest that was presented to President Dwight Eisenhower.
Today you can buy Ethan Allen furniture for most rooms of the house, from bathroom to bedroom. They even have specialised products for kids. In the bedroom the range is comprehensive including beds, armoires, mirrors and cribs.
