Croscill

Croscill is a well known interior design company that has been in business for over 50 years. They sell home fashions for use around the house and are probably best known for their bathroom and bedroom collections including shower curtains and comforters. The company's slogan is It's in the details.

History

Croscill began life in 1946 with their Croscilla window treatment with a valance that stretched across the entire window. This proved extremely popular and the company went on to introduce a number of other window furnishing designs.

The company's entry into the bedding market came in the 1960s. They began by taking dull, uninspiring comforters and redesigning them to be attractive and decorative additions to the bedroom. In the company's own words they formed "a springboard for holistic room coordination". Yes, well. Suffice to say that Croscill designs were and still are extremely popular.

A rather more palatable name for Croscill's philosophy is "total room coordination" and it's this ensemble theme approach that has driven their design collections. These include the bathroom range first introduced in 1993.

In 2008 the Croscill brand was obtained by Patriarch Partners who bought the company from the founding Kahn family.

Products

At the time of writing you can buy a number of Croscill collections divided into bedding, bath and window. In addition you can buy items for all three rooms as part of the White Label luxury collection or the Croscill District range of contemporary, casual prints.
