Broyhill Furniture
The name Broyhill has been connected with furniture for over a century now and today
Broyhill is one of the
best known furniture brands in America with over 90% brand recognition. They are most well
known for their bedroom, living room and dining room furniture as well as their . Popular
collections available to buy include Fontana, Attic Heirlooms and Maison Lenoir.
The history of the company begins in 1905 when Thomas Broyhill became involved in furniture production
in Lenoir, North Carolina. Initially Thomas was an investor in the Lenoir Furniture
Corporation in which he eventually became the majority shareholder. Thomas's brother James
established the Lenoir Chair Company in 1926 and by the 1970s Broyhill Furniture
Industries was an established name.
The company was a pioneer in the use of assembly line
techniques and prides itself on its state of the art manufacturing processes.
Today you can buy Broyhill furniture around the world through a network of some
4000 dealers and outlets. The company runs a number of dedicated distribution programmes where dealers
commit space exclusivley to Broyhill poducts: from a Broyhill Furniture Center with a
minimum of 2,500 square feet dedicated to their products through to a dedicated Broyhill
Home Collections store.
Broyhill was acquired by Interco Inc in 1980 and is today part of the same stable as such
other famous brands as Thomasville and Drexel
Heritage.
